Bought this for my granddaughter, who is learning acoustic I can play Book looked good on line and was delivered promptly Then I opened it and tried to play the tunes. Unless you know the songs I think there is absolutely no way anyone could play them from this book Even if you do know them, the tab doesn t seem to follow the words, is in different forms, only covers parts of the song I challenge anyone to play an unknown song from the book I feel I have completely wasted my money.

I wouldn t call this book exactly suitable for beginners, perhaps intermediate level Its okay, but for a beginner too many challenging chords to grasp in the song book.

I have Hal Leonard books I prefer much, much than this one The chord chart is provided at the top of the page for each new song, which is great, but the printed words are too tiny and, and worse of all, there is no staff with the music, just words and chord names D, E, F, etc above the words It s good, maybe, for an experienced player who is in a hurry to learn songs Many of the songs I don t know Occasionally a few songs have a line or 2 or 3 of staffs with tableture at the beginning the intro maybe It s the first time I see this in a music book Not my favourite look and many of the songs are unknown to me Leaves me with questions than answers and feeling frustrated with it I don t recommend this book for a beginner player, unless, of course, you prefer to learn without the staff.
